Metal Patio Furniture
Some of the most durable furniture for outdoor use is metal patio furniture. With the advance in technology metal now days is protected with a finish that will make them rust proof. Or you can opt to choose from metals that don’t rust at all.
Some of them include cast aluminum. It is a light weight, but extremely sturdy metal that will give you years of enjoyable use from it. It does however have a drawback in the fact that it is difficult to weld when it does break. It’s a good thing that doesn’t happen too often.
You also have choices of buying furniture that has a metal frame, but uses other material for the rest of it. Some of the material used in this type of metal patio furniture is resin or wood. Another choice is cast iron. This type of metal is extremely heavy but again it is also very durable and there is a slim chance you will ever break it. Cast iron does have a tendency to rust when not properly treated, but all the quality outdoor furniture is finished to protect it from any rust. You may have to periodically redo the rust coat to keep it in pristine condition.
Then there is wrought iron and from all the different types of metal this type is the easiest to repair if things break. It is very easy to simply weld any breaks. Years back it was hard to keep this type of metal in good condition for any length of time, but modern finishing has helped alleviate that problem almost completely.
